Obituary

UPTON: Jean A. “Nana Deeyah” (Hollingworth) MacKenzie, age 80, of Upton, a former longtime Natick resident, died suddenly and peacefully on May 9, 2014, while vacationing with family in Las Vegas.

Born, raised and educated in Natick, Jean was the daughter of the late Harold and Helen (Murtagh) Hollingworth, and lived in Natick until settling in Upton 15 years ago. She enjoyed reading, board games, solving crossword puzzles, travel, spending time with family, and the company of her dear dog, Pogo. A truly kind, sincere, giving, and funny lady, Jean touched the hearts of all she knew.

She is survived by her children, David F. MacKenzie of Mendon, Donna Bacchiocchi and her husband Antonio, Jr. of Ashland, Daniel MacKenzie and his wife Christine of Natick, Darlene MacKenzie Schoen and her husband Steven of Upton, Dale Fingar of Medway, and Dana Connolly and her husband John of Natick; 14 grandchildren, Jennifer MacKenzie, Dina Pratt, Antonio Bacchiocchi, III, Michael Bacchiocchi, Marissa Lemoine, Kyle MacKenzie, Kirsten Stewart, LT Eric MacKenzie, US Army, Dustin Pearce, Steven Fingar, Michael Fingar, Ryan Connolly, Keri Connolly, and Jesse Connolly; and four great-grandchildren, Jamie Pratt, Jadyn Flood, Kylie Connolly, and Liam Stewart. Jean was also predeceased by her daughter, Diane MacKenzie, son-in-law, Gregory Fingar, and granddaughter, Holly MacKenzie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Patrick’s Church, 44 East Central Street, Natick, on Monday, May 19th at 10:00a.m. Burial will follow at Dell Park Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, on Sunday 2 – 5p.m.
