PERLA E. (MURRAY) HORNE, of Hull, died on Tuesday, Nov. 9th at the Life Care Center of the South Shore in Scituate after a long illness. She was 82. Born in Boston, Mrs. Horne traveled the eastern seaboard with her parents, the late Harold D. Murray and the late Emma B. (Fitton) Murray, who were captains with the Salvation Army and were responsible for her early education. In 1943, she and her family settled in Arlington where she lived until moving to Hull over 30 years ago. Mrs. Horne enjoyed traveling and her rose garden.
Wife of the late Joseph H. Horne, she leaves two daughters; Perla E. Olsen and Lorraine M. Horne both of Hull. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
She was the mother of the late Phyllis E. Horne and the late Harvey W. Horne.
A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, Nov. 12th at 12 Noon at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham.
Friends may visit at the Downing Chapel on Friday, prior to the service from 10 AM until 12 Noon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Salvation Army, 6 Baxter St., Quincy, MA 02169.
The interment is to be private.
