
Marian (Kenosian) Pelletier, 96 formerly of Lynn and Peaobdy, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Penacook Place in Haverhill, following a long illness. She was the wife of the late J. Roland Pelletier.
Born and raised in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Delvina (Jalbert) Kenosian. A graduate of Lynn English High School, as a young woman she first worked for Sylvania at the Loring Avenue plant. She later worked for Salem Hospital in housekeeping until her retirement.
Marian married Roland in July of 1949. She loved her role as wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed bingo, cooking and especially baking for family and friends.
She is survived by two daughters, C. Jean Pelletier of Peabody, Cheryl A. Tavares and her husband Roy of Haverhill, a son, Robert R. Pelletier and his wife Kathleen of Hamilton, VA. a brother Edward Kenosian of Swampscott, four sisters, Annie Poole of Florida, Virginia O’Brien & Alice Kenosian both of Lynn and Helen Leo and her husband Edward of Danvers. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandson and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, John, Michael & Rose Kenosian and Margaret Boudreau.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral mass on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. in St. John the Baptist Church, 17 Church St., Peabody [Behind City Hall]. A committal service will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Assoc., MA/NH Chapter, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
