NORTH BILLERICA: George F. Marsh, age 69, a resident of North Billerica for 41 years, passed away at home on Sunday, May 11, 2014.
He was the beloved husband of Leslie B. (Niederer) Marsh with whom he celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on August 3, 2013.
Born in Chelsea on January 17, 1945, he was the son of the late George H. and Mary L. (McCarthy) Marsh.
George was raised in Chelsea and graduated from Medford Vocational High School.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Local # 7 for 32 years as a Union Iron Worker.
George enjoyed working around his yard, collecting wood for his wood stove, and most of all spending time with his family and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Kristen M. Cunningham and her fiance Peter Martin of Marblehead, Jenn L. Griffin and her husband Ken of Tewksbury and Darren G. Marsh and his fiancee Jill Dunderdale of Braintree; three grandchildren, Ronan Cunningham, Owen and Connor Griffin; one sister, Jacqueline Walsh and her husband James of Tewksbury; one brother, James L. Marsh of Wilmington; also many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Relatives and friends will be received Thursday, May 15, from 4-7 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury, to be immediately followed by his Memorial Service to be held in the funeral home.
