Brian A. Brooks, a resident of Charlestown passed away on May 10, 2014 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following an extended illness. He was 72 years old.
Brian was born in Cambridge on December 28, 1941, a son of the late Albert J. Brooks and Rosemarie (Trembley) Brooks. Brian graduated from Boston College in 1964 and spent his whole life as a resident of the Boston area. Brian was a retired Senior Partner at Price Waterhouse Coopers where he worked for 40 years. He also served on the Board of the New England Center for Homeless Veterans, Guild of Oenophilists, The Massachusetts Audibon Society, and was a former President of the Massachusetts Society of CPA's. He was most at home spending time with his wife in Nova Scotia where they both harnessed their passion for the outdoors and wildlife. He was taken too early from us but undoubtedly lived a very happy successful life and will be greatly missed by all those who had the chance to enjoy life with him.
He is the beloved husband of Betty L. (Meister) Brooks. He is the devoted father of Kenneth and April. He is the loving grandfather of 5 grandchildren. He is the beloved brother of Norman Brooks. He is the loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Brian's Memorial Service on Thursday, May 15, 2014 from 6 to 8 P.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown.
