Laconia----Raymond G. Morin, formerly of 57 Emerald Drive, Laconia died at Golden Crest on Thursday, May 8, 2014.
Mr. Morin was born October 22, 1929 in Claremont, N.H., the son of the late George J. and Rosilza (Rivet) Morin.
Mr. Morin was a longtime resident of Laconia. He was an engineer and had
been employed by the State of New Hampshire- Department of Transportation
from 1957-1989.
Mr. Morin was a communicant of St. Joseph Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree and a member of the Laconia Lodge of Elks
#876. He enjoyed his grandchildren, camping and skiing.
Survivors include two sons, Michael R. Morin and his wife Kathy of Sanbornton and Steven F. Morin and his wife, Patty, of Gilmanton Iron Works; four grandchildren; Jamie Morin of Northfield, Nicole Jaskiewicz of Meredith, Andrew Morin of Gilmanton and Brett Morin of Gilmanton, a sister, Lucille Morin, of Franklin, formerly of Claremont, and several nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, Mr. Morin was predeceased by his wife, Beatrice (Woodward) Morin, in 2012, by a brother, Francis Morin, and a sister, Helena Quinn.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 from 4PM to 7PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 11:00AM at St. Andre Bessette Parish at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia, N.H.
Burial will follow in the family lot in Union Cemetery, Academy Street, Laconia, N.H.
