Pandi Manco, 89, of Worcester, died Wednesday, May 7th in UMass Memorial Medical Center. His wife of 55 years, Sofia (Gogo) Manco, died in 2009. He leaves two sons, Alfred Manco and his wife Mimoza of Worcester and Arben Manco and his wife Marjeta of Clearwater, FL; a sister, Antoneta Panariti of Worcester; three grandchildren; nephews and nieces.
He was born in Albania, the son of Manol and Evanthia (Stefo) Manco and moved here in 1997. Mr. Manco was a history teacher for many years in Albania and had served in the Albanian Army. He was a member of St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church.
The funeral is Wednesday, May 14th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a service at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church, 535 Salisbury Street. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 13th in the funeral home.
