Obituary

Marlene M. (Mancini) Carmichael of Natick passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at the Newton Wellesley Hospital. She was seventy-five years old.

Born in Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia, the daughter of the late Joseph and Sarah (Lamey) Mancini, she came to the United States when she was twenty-two years old.

Marlene and Dan settled in Natick in 1979 where they raised their children and she became a faithful member of St. Patrick’s Church.

She worked with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Boston as a switchboard operator for five years and then part-time with Hallmark Cards for fifteen years.

She enjoyed boating and summering in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.

Marlene was the devoted wife of Daniel C. Carmichael of Natick with whom they shared forty-eight years of marriage.

She was the loving mother of Alan D. Carmichael of Holliston, Mark J. Carmichael of Natick and the late Michelle Lynn Carmichael.

Caring sister of Bernice King of Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia and the late Joseph and Ronald Mancini and the late Lorna Connors.

Marlene’s funeral will be held from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., at Natick Common on Monday, May 12th at 9:00AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Patrick’s Church, 44 E. Central St., Natick at 10:00AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited.

Visiting hours Sunday from 2:00-5:00PM.

Interment is private.
