Lillian A. Lagace 97, formerly of Prince St. Woonsocket, died May 3, 2014 in Wildwood, FL. She was the wife of the late Raymond Lagace. Born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Ernest and Georgianna (Belanger) Blanchard, she lived most of her life in Woonsocket, and the last six years in The Villages, FL. Lillian worked for the State of RI school lunch program in the Woonsocket and Cumberland school districts for nine years retiring in 1983. She had also worked as a seamstress for many years.
Lillian is survived by her two daughters, Elizabeth Farrell and Susan Ouellette and her husband Paul of The Villages, FL a brother Ernest Blanchard of Woonsocket, two sisters Alice Desrosiers of Uxbridge, MA and Margaret Guilbert of Sterling Heights, MI, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Raymond Blanchard and Laura Gelinas.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St Jean Baptiste Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Friday 6-8 PM.
