Obituary

Mr. Paul R. Manning, of Raynham, died Friday, April 25 in Morton Hospital following a period of failing health. He would have celebrated his 80th birthday August 30. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Edward and Helen (Splaine) Manning. He was educated in Boston and was a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as an electrical engineer for Boston Edison, and previously for Raytheon. Paul was a veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed classical music, loved traveling, and was proud to have dined with the famous Boston Mayor Michael Curley, who was a frequent visitor to Paul's parent's home in his youth.
He leaves: 1 daughter: Valerie M. Manning and her husband, Ronald F. Normand of Sandwich, a nephew, and a nephew, Mark Manning. He was also the brother of the late Thomas Manning and uncle of the late TJ Manning.
Funeral services and interment are private at the convenience of the family. Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted. Arrangements are under the direction of The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home of Taunton
