Lloyd E. McKay, 77, of Pendleton died May 4, 2014 at Community Northview Nursing Home after an extended illness.
He was born, October 6, 1936 in Anderson.
He served in the Indiana National Guard and United States Army Reserves from 1954 to 1962
He graduated from Anderson High School and G.M. apprentice school. He worked as an engineer for Guide Lamp 44 years before retiring in 1998.
He was a member of South Meridian Church of God.
He worked for Riley & Sons Collision Repair.
He loved his grandchildren and loved to fish.
He is survived by his mother, Lavon Lauderbaugh of Anderson; his two sons, Jeff (Connie) McKay of Pendleton; and Mike (Linda) McKay of Austin, TX; three sisters, Ruth Ann Reed; Jeanette Beck and Helen Fisher all of Anderson; his brother, Jerry (Karla) McKay of Pendleton; five grandchildren, Justin McKay; Jason McKay; Jessica (Patrick) Whitehead; Brandon McKay; Brittany McKay; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Loren McKay and his wife, Judith C. McKay whom he married June 10, 1956, died August 10, 2013.
Graveside service will be 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at East Maplewood Cemetery.
As per his wishes, there will be no visitation.
