Obituary

Joan G. (Pineault) Morgan, age 82, born March 7, 1932, in Boston, passed away at her home in Arcadia, California on April 24.
The daughter of the late William Pineault, originally of Prince Edward Island and Rosalie (Rossetti) Elias of Franklin. Joan was the loving sister of her late 1st brother, William (Jackie) Pineault.
Joni was a very talented portrait artist. She enjoyed owning an art gallery business & meeting other artists in the world of art. She was intensely passionate about being a proud American & was committed to the P.O. W. Vietnam War effort. A major highlight of her life was amazing shared experiences with her good friend Spike Nasmyth (former P.O. W., Vietnam). The two of them were honored to be invited to The White House for dinner functions; circa 1970’s & much more … She was also so grateful to have met President Ronald Reagan on more than one occasion.
Joni is survived by her two daughters Kelly Beard Bonett (husband, John Bonnet) & Donna Howard. Her sister Darlene Elias (husband, Lee Wagner), brother Thomas Glenn Elias, niece Rosemaire Elias Wagner & nephew Grant Elias Wagner, her husband Robert Chesney & her two very much loved dogs Rose & Charlie all from southern California.
Joni is also survived by her two grandson’s Cameron Howard & Taylor Howard of northern California.
To this day, sheis amazing in that years ago she pre-planned all her last wishes to be carried out by family in detail. Though she loved spending the bulk of her life in sunny southern California her final wish was to return home to her family roots in Franklin, Mass.
Her funeral mass will be held on Saturday, May 10 in St. Mary’s Church Franklin at 10:00.
Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
In lieu of flowers for expressions of sympathy may be made in Joni’s memory to Paralyzed Veterans of America, 7 Mill Brook Road, Wilton, New Hampshire 03086 -0907 and /or Disabled American Veterans 3725 Alexandria Pike, Cold Springs, Kentucky 41076.
