Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Wednesday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church at 9 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-7 pm. Donations in Mary’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
Obituary
Miss Connolly died Saturday at the Braemoor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after a period of failing health. She was born in Brockton a daughter of the late John A. and Hannah (Doyle) Connolly and remained a lifelong resident of the city. She was a graduate of Brockton High School and Burdett Business College in Boston.
She had been employed as head of the circulation department at the Boston Herald Traveler newspaper and retired after 42 years of service.
Miss Connolly was a member of the Brockton Garden Club, AARP and bowled with the Senior Citizens Bowling League. She enjoyed traveling and had been a longtime communicant of St. Edward Church.
She is survived by he nieces and nephews Miriam Malone of Farmington, Michigan; Joan Cholette and Marjorie Michaud both of Liverpool, New York; Richard Connolly of Easton; Raymond Connolly of Fairfax Station, Virginia; Robert Connolly of Liverpool, New York; Gerald Connolly of Queensbury, New York
She also leaves many grand nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Margaret, Norine, and Mildred Connolly and Bernard, John and Raymond Connolly and aunt of the late Bernard and Thomas Connolly
