Obituary

Miss. Jeannette M. Lanouette, 89 of Lawrence, passed away Thursday May 1, at her home. She was born in Lawrence, daughter of the late Joseph C. And Alice (Michaud) Lanouette. Jeannette was a lifelong resident of Lawrence. She was a member of St. Ann school class of 1940. She and many of her former classmates kept in contact with each other by going out to lunch once a month. Her work career began in a shoeshop moving on the Raytheon in Waltham and retiring from the former Western Electric after 35 years of service. Jeannette was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish at St. Theresa Church where she had been a Eucharistic Minister. She also had been an active member of “The Affiliates of the Good Shepherd”, The Third Order of Mary, St. Theresa’s Rainbow Club and the Pioneers of America. Jeannette was always ready to attend a show, whether it be at the Beacon, in New Hampshire, or in Branson, Missouri. She loved going on trips with her friends touring many parts of the United States and some foreign countries. She was an avid bingo, 45's, and Michigan rummy player. Jeannette is survived by her brother: Joseph Roland Lanouette of Windham, NH(formerly of Middleboro, MA) three sisters: Sister Theresa Lanouette S.C.I.M of Biddeford, ME, Pauline and her husband Albert Gagne of Salem, NH, Doris Lambert of Stratford, CT and sister-in-law Alice Lanouette of Milford, CT. Jeannette was predeceased by her brothers George and Roger, sisters Lillian (Ouellette), Anita (Moreau), Evelyn (Goulet), Lucille (Moquin) and Yvonne (Gagne). Jeannette was the cherished God-mother of Martha Osgood, Karen Lambert, Michael Lanouette, Jay Ouellette, Janice Snow, and Steven Lanouette. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home 122 Amesbury St. Lawrence. A Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 am at St. Theresa Church, burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Edgar J.
