Mrs. Theresa V. (Lefaivre) Marrotte, of Taunton, died Thursday, May 1 in Marian Manor following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Edmond C. Marrotte. She was born 87 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late Wilfred and Beatrice (Lamarche) Lefaivre. She was educated in Taunton and had been a lifelong city resident. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed at Raytheon Corp. in North Dighton for several years. Theresa enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was a communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Parish in Taunton.
She leaves: 1 son: Roger E. Marrotte and his wife, Maureen of Taunton; 1 sister: Beatrice W. Turnbull of Dorchester; 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Roland C. Marrotte and the sister of the late Norman, Lefaivre, Wilfred Lefaivre, and Elaine Marrotte.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street on Monday, May 5 at 9:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Jude the Apostle Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Sunday, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
