Payne, Ralph O., 82, of Louisville went to be with his heavenly Father Wednesday, April 30, 2014. Ralph was a native of Breckinridge Co., Ky., a U. S. Marine veteran of Korean War & was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church & attended Mosaic United Methodist Church. He had retired after 33 years of service from Brown & Williamson Tobacco Co. & was a past master of Big Springs Masonic Lodge. He is preceded in death by his parents, L.W. & Minnie Payne; two sisters, Katherine Gritton & Juliet McCoy. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Mary Dean (Tucker) Payne; three sons, Michael Payne (Diana), Alan Payne (Toni) & Gary Payne (Cindy); a brother, Donald Payne; ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren & two on the way; many nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Monday at the Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy. with burial in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 – 8:00 pm Sunday & after 10:00 am Monday. Memorial gifts may be made to both of his churches.
