Norman A. Soucie, Sr. 61 of 69 Grove Street, died Friday, Oct 29 at home following a brief illness.He was the husband of Kathleen A. (Hennessy) Soucie who died in 2003. He leaves a son Norman A. Soucie, Jr. of Leicester and a daughter Paula A. Soucie of Cherry Valley, two brothers Raymond Soucie of Cherry Valley and Francis Soucie of Leicester, a sister Pauline T. Dube of Auburn, Me. and two grandsons Shawn W. and Jack S. Soucie of Leicester, several nieces and nephews.Mr. Soucie was an alarm technician for Houston Securities of Spencer before retiring in June due to illness. He previously worked for many years at A.D.T. in Worcester.He graduated from Leicester High School in 1961 and was co-captain of the first Leicester High undefeated football team. He was a member of St. Pius X Church. Born in Worcester, he was the son of Francis and Fernande (LaFlamme) Soucie. The funeral will be held Monday, Nov. 1 from the MORRISON-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester with a Liturgy of the Word at 10 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, 1153 Main St., Leicester. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Leicester.
