Sophie "Kelly" Currier, 88 of Lawrence passed away peacefully on April 27, 2014 at the Lawrence General Hospital. Mrs. Currier was born on August 31, 1925 to the late Julian and Rose Kislowski in Lawrence, where she remained a lifelong resident. Sophie attended the Lawrence School System and was a graduate of Lawrence High School. She then graduated from the Lawrence General Hospital School of Nursing. Sophie loved animals and her family. She was an avid reading. Sophie held a great care for the city of Lawrence and it's residents as she was a long time registered nurse in the city. Sophie worked as an RN in the Lawrence School System and an RN at the Lawrence General Hospital. She was a practicing RN until the age of 80.
Sophie is survived by her loving dear Wayne Currier of Lawrence. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Sophie is predeceased by her brothers Stanley Kislowski and Alphonse Kislowski.
At her request, there will be no funeral services held for Sophie. Donations in Sophie's memory may be made to the MSPCA-Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway Methuen, MA 01844. The Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home is honored to serve the Currier Family.
