Dateline: Attleboro, MA

Janice A. (White) Creeden of Attleboro, formerly of Naples, Florida and Mansfield passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 26, 2014 in Providence, at the Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island.
She was the beloved wife of the late Daniel E. Creeden, Sr. to whom she was wed for 50 years at the time of his death on November 22, 2007.
Born in Dighton, MA she was a loving daughter of the late George and M. Josephine (Belanger) White. She grew up in Taunton and was educated in Taunton Schools.
Janice had worked as an Associate Engineer for the former Codex Co. in Mansfield for 13 years, prior to retiring in 1988 and had formerly worked as a waitress.
Following retirement and while residing in Naples, she was employed as a hostess and was also a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in Naples.
Janice treasured the times spent with family and friends. She loved dancing, engaging in crafts and especially making dinner reservations.
She is survived by her devoted children; Cynthia A. Creeden of Attleboro, Daniel E. Creeden, Jr. and his wife Deborah of Portsmouth, Rhode Island, Mary K. Creeden Harris and her husband Scot of DePere, Wisconsin, and the late Karen E. Johnson. She was the dear sister of Robert White of Connecticut, Paula Driscoll of Norton, and the late George “Al” White, Joanne Cleary and Dorathea Masse. She is also survived by her cherished 8 grandchildren, including Maggie Boyd and her family of Attleboro, as well as several great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Thursday, May 1st at 9:30 A.M. in St. John the Evangelist Church, 133 North Main St., Attleboro. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 12:45 P.M.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, April 30th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
Due to the limitation of flowers allowed at the National Cemetery, Janice’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Massachusetts, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472 or to Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
