Juanita M. Colvin

Juanita M. (Kemper) Colvin, 79, of Anderson, died Friday, April 25, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family, following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on August 19, 1934 in Kansas, Illinois, the daughter of John Edward and Eveline D. (Nesler) Kemper. She was an Anderson resident for most all of her life. She was employed by J and J Pets in Anderson for 12 years. She was also a caregiver for her parents for many years. She was known for being a caring and loving lady and enjoyed working her word puzzles.
Survivors include her husband, James M. Colvin, whom she married on July 12, 1968, 4 children: Edwina Mae (Doug) Cook of Middletown, Alan D. (Cindi) Clay of Pendleton, Vickie Rogers of Muncie and Ruthann Anderson of Anderson. 11 Grandchildren and 19 great Grandchildren; siblings, Paul Edward Kemper of Alexandria, Riley Lee (Teresa) Kemper of Arkansas, and Nettie N. Simpson of Illinois. Several nieces and nephews and her special little pet, "Ruthie"
The family wishes to thank the Community Cancer Center, Dr. Nagvi and all the nursing staff for their wonderful care of Juanita. They also are grateful for the special caregivers of Gentiva Hospice.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 2:30 PM at Rozelle Johnson Funeral Service with Chris Mishler officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, prior to the funeral beginning at 12:30 PM.
