Worcester—Will Moses Gamble II, 82, died Tuesday, November 2, 2004, in the VA Hospital, Brockton. He leaves his wife of 35 years, Evelyn (Robinson) Gamble; his mother, Caroline Anderson of Farmville, VA; 4 sons—Will M. Gamble III, Robert Gamble, Richard, and Timothy; 2 daughters, Cynthia L. Gamble and Joanne Chamberland—all of Worcester; a brother, Arthur Lee Gamble of Baltimore; 13 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren; nephews & nieces.
He was born in Farmville, Virginia, son of the late Will Moses Gamble I. He was a WWII and Vietnam Army veteran. He was employed by the City of Worcester working as a chef at Doherty High School and later was a chef at the Franklin Manor. Will was a dedicated member of All Saints Episcopal Church. He was a member of the Masonic Elks Lodge in Worcester.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 8, at 11:00 a.m., in Nordgren Memorial Chapel. A calling hour will be held at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to All Saints Episcopal Church, 10 Irving St., Worcester, MA 01609. Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester, MA 01605 is directing arrangements.
