Wandalee Shank, 93, of Anderson died on April 24, 2014 at St. Vincent's Anderson Regional Hospital following an extended illness.
She was born on August 23, 1920 in Huntington County, IN to Charles and Frances Forrester.
She was a 1939 graduate of Banquo High School. She was a homemaker. She was a member of East Side Church of God since 1951 and the Women of the Church of God. She was den mother for the Cub Scouts. She enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her 3 children, Tom (Marsha) Shank, Spencer (Cheryl) Shank, and Mary Jane (John) Fairchild all of Anderson; a sister, Mary Hewitt of Marion, IN; a brother, Charles (Judy) Forrester of Redkey, IN; 6 grandchildren, Jeffrey Davenport, Shawn (Tina) Davenport, Sonya (David) Cook, Craig Shank, Jennifer Chase, and Andrew (April) Shank; 10 great-grandchildren, Christine Davenport, Victoria Davenport, Teresa Davenport, Isaiah Cook, Aaron Cook, Adrah Cook, Aiden Chase, Gavin Chase, Miller Shank and Isla Shank; a brother-in-law, Russell Shank of Conroe, TX; 2 sisters-in-law, Betty (Jim) Zehring of Anderson and Mary Jane Forrester of Wabash, IN; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rolland Jay Shank in 1990; 2 brothers, George and Woodrow Forrester; and 2 sisters, Ruby King and Ruth Ward.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 28, 2014 at 2:00pm at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Mary Ann Randolph officiating. The burial will take place in East Maplewood Cemetery.
The visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service on Monday.
