TAUNTON – Sandra L. (Pereira) Crovello, wife of Steven F. Crovello of Raynham, died at the Pat Roche Hospice Home in Hingham on April 15, 2014 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
She was 65 years old.
Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Adam J. and Cora V. (Parris) Pereira.
A lifelong resident of the area, Sandra graduated from Taunton High School in 1966, and later received degrees from Bridgewater State and Lesley College.
A retired grammar school teacher, she taught in the Taunton school system for many years, spending most of her years teaching first grade at the Walker School.
Sandra most enjoyed spending time with her husband and daughter, taking many family vacations over the years.
She especially loved vacationing in Ponce Inlet, FL with her immediate family, where she could enjoy time walking on the beach and relaxing by the ocean.
She was a communicant of East Taunton’s Holy Family Church.
In addition to her husband, Sandra leaves a daughter, Stefanie C. Costello and her husband Peter of Raynham; two brothers, Adam J. Pereira of Taunton and Daniel Pereira of Fall River; an aunt, Madeline Hobday and husband Arthur; two uncles John and Manuel Pereira; several nieces and nephews; and many other loved family and friends.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Tuesday April 22nd at 8:45 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Holy Family Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at the Mass National VA Cemetery, Bourne at 2:45 p.m.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday, April 21st from 5 to 8 p.m.
