Donna M. (Ouellette) Blanchette, 65 of Salem, passed away peacefully at her home Saturday evening, Spril 12, 2014 with her family by her side. She was the devoted wife of Armand V. Blanchette, Sr., with whom she had shared 22 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Joseph P. and Irene (Louf) Ouellette. Donna first worked as a co-ordinator for the Salem Hospital operating room under the Anesthesia Associates of Salem. She later worked for Charter Professional Services (Partners) in Salem and shortly after the company moved to Charlestown for a total of 14 years. She left Partners to work for Mass General Physician Billing also in Charlestown for the next 5 years.
Donna was an active member of Ste. Anne Parish in Salem. She served on the Parish Council, taught CCD and was involved many of their fund raising events. But Donna’s pride and joy, in addition to her family, was her 30 years devoted to singing in the Ste. Anne Choir.
In addition to her husband Armand, she is survived by two sons, Armand V. Blanchette, Jr. of Peabody, Peter L. Call and his wife Heidi of Kalispell, MT, two daughters, Jessica A. Call of Hooksett, NH, Vicky L. Malvitch and her husband Joseph of Salem, two brothers, Donald L. Ouellette of Burleson, TX, Robert L. Ouellette and his wife Sandra of Marblehead, five grandchildren, Emilie & Grady Call, Erik J. Call, Ian M. & Zoe I. Pszenny, Amanda & Adam Malvitch as well as many nieces and nephews including her godchild, Carol J. Kerr, Esq.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 9:00 A.M. to be followed by her funeral mass in Ste. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Ave. Salem at 10:00 A.M. Visiting hours at the funeral home are on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.
