Vienna L. Barrette, 99, died Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Bethany Home of RI in Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Louis F. Barrette, a World War II veteran.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Francesco and Teresa (Rebecci) Librandi. She lived in North Providence and Greenville before moving to Providence.
Mrs. Barrette was a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design and was a talented painter and dressmaker. Prior to retirement she had been an Interpreter of aerial photographs for the US Army Map Service.
She is survived by her daughter Winifred Atkinson and son-in-law, David, MD of Fort Lee, New Jersey, her son Bryan Barrette and daughter-in-law Maryann of Warwick, her grandson, Mark Atkinson and his partner Steven Overman of London, England, grandchildren Brendan, Victoria, and Alanna Barrette of Warwick; her nephew Steven Zuffoletti and his wife, Martha, great nephew Michael Zuffoletti, and her nephew John Barrette and his wife Kathy. She was the sister of the late Eva DiSandro and Matilda Zuffoletti.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 26th at 10:30 am in St. Kevin’s Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick. Burial prior to service at 9:00 am in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
