Robert D. "Bobby" Lima, 17, of Dartmouth died November 1, 2004 at New England Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born in New Bedford, the son of Robert W. and Debra A. (Callahan) Lima of Dartmouth, he lived in Dartmouth most of his life.
Bobby attended the I.H. Schwartz Rehabilitation Center in New Bedford where he received much love, attention and care that made him a happy little boy.
Bobby was a very special child who enjoyed roller coasters, walks in the park and kisses. He touched many lives, bringing happiness to everyone who knew him.
Survivors include his parents; a sister, Laurie DesRoches, and her husband Eli, of Dartmouth; a niece, Kelsey, his best friend who made him smile with just her voice and her touch; a nephew, Kolbey; his maternal grandfather, Daniel S. Callahan, and his wife Simone, of Dartmouth; his paternal grandparents, Robert M. and Edith (Carter) Lima of New Bedford; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was the grandson of the late Janet A. Callahan.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at St. Julie Billiart Church Thursday, November 4th at 10 AM.
Visiting hours at the the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New BedfordWednesday, November 3rd from 4-8 PM.
Interment St. Mary's Cemetery.
