Obituary

Ellicott City, MD - Lillian B. (Cook) Palm 95, formerly of Whitman, MA and Falmouth, MA, died Tuesday April 8 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Harold R. Palm.

Born in Brockton and raised in Whitman she was the daughter of the late Milton R. and Rena C. (Emond) Cook.

Lillian was a graduate of Whitman High School, Class of 1936 and furthered her education attending Burdett College and graduating in 1938.

Lillian had divided her time between her summer home at New Silver Beach in North Falmouth and her home in Whitman.

She had been a lifelong and active member of the Whitman community, having been a member of the Mothers Club, the Woman’s Club and the Garden Club all of Whitman, and in later years she was active in the Whitman Senior Citizens Club.

She is survived by her daughters Sheila Solomon of Ellicott City, MD and Gaynor O’Brien of Falmouth. She is also survived by six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Milton R. Cook, Jr.

Her funeral service will be held Tuesday April 15 at 12 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Burial will follow at 2:15 PM in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Visiting hours will held prior to the service from 10 AM to 12 PM.
