Edward F. Scully a lifelong resident of Taunton passed away peacefully on April 4th at Taunton Nursing Home. Mr. Scully was 79 years old. He was the devoted and loving husband of the late Sylvia Scully (Repoza). Ed leaves behind his sister Jean Moore of FL and he is reunited with his brothers; the late John W. Scully, Robert Scully and Gerald Scully. He is survived by his dear sister-in-laws Maureen U. Scully of Raynham, Arlene Scully of Taunton and June McCloy and her husband Jim of Rockport. Mr. Scully will be missed by his many loving nieces and nephews as well grand nieces and nephews.
Ed was born on June 4, 1934 in Taunton to his parents the late John and Julia (Lacombe) Scully. He would go on to serve in the United States Army honorably after graduating from high school. While working as an attendant at the Taunton State Hospital, Ed met the love of his life; his wife Sylvia. They married in 1967 and enjoyed gardening and raising their Poodles and attending the weekend Mass at St. Andrew the Apostle in Taunton. Mr. Scully will be forever remembered as a gentle and dignified soul.
A gathering will be held on Tuesday April 8th from 10-11am in the Taunton Funeral Home 8 Crapo St. Taunton.
