Albert J. Carey, 86, of Woonsocket died Monday March 24, 2014 at Landmark Medical Center.
Born in Woonsocket he was a son of the late Lionel W. and Olivia Eva (Lambert) Carey. He was a lifelong resident of the city.
Mr. Carey was a graduate of Mt. St. Charles Academy Class of 1945. He was employed in the local textile industry at several area firms including J.C. Lafond.
He was a longtime communicant of St. Joseph’s Parish and enjoyed watching sports.
He is survived by a brother Raymond D. Carey of Arizona and was the brother of the late Conrad Carey. He is also survived by three nephews Roger, Paul and Robert Carey and their families.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10:00 am in St. Joseph Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham will be private at a later date. Visiting hours and flowers are omitted. Arrangements are by the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket.
