West Bridgewater - Anna E. Freitas, 83, of West Bridgewater died Sunday at home under hospice care after a lengthy illness.
Born Aug. 10, 1921, in West Bridgewater, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Isabel (Borges) Freitas.
Miss Freitas was a lifelong resident of West Bridgewater and was a graduate of Howard High School, Class of 1939.
She also attended Brockton Business School.
Miss Freitas was a secretary and office manager for the Ouimet Stay & Leather Company in Brockton for 63 years, retiring this past February.
She enjoyed cooking and time spent with her family.
She is survived by two sisters, Elva Kelly of Brockton and Josephine Burroughs of Easton; one brother, William Freitas of West Bridgewater and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the sister of the late Manual and Richard Freitas.
Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.
