Claire P. (Kirby) Sensale a resident of Medford since 1952 and beloved wife of Francis E. Sensale, died at her home on Saturday morning, March 29, 2014. She was 87 years old.
Born in Malden on August 24, 1926, she was the beloved daughter of the late George W. and Mabel (Donahue) Kirby. Mrs. Sensale was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Medford and enjoyed playing bingo, traveling and visiting Las Vegas. She also loved to cook and care for her house plants. She always had a special love for all animals and birds. She will be dearly missed.
Besides her beloved husband of 64 years, Francis, she is lovingly survived by three daughter’s and one son-in-law; Donna M., Cecelia R. and her husband Robert and Frances M., six grandchildren; Brian, Kevin, Michael, Lisa, Stephen and Daniel, great-grandchildren; Brent, Katerina, Preston and Alexandra and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Edward F. Kirby, Margurite D’Aiuto, Louise Lundergan and Mary Donahue and sister-in-law of the late Marjorie Kirby.
Her funeral will be held from the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at 10 am followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Fellsway West, Medford at 11 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, March 31, 2014, from 4 to 8 pm. Entombment will be held in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
