Thomas Henry Collins, 71, of Marlborough died Sunday, March 30th in Marlborough Hills Healthcare Center. He leaves a son, David Collins of Hopkinton; two daughters, Jill Collins of Westhampton and Julie (Collins) Duffy of Barrington, RI; a sister, Nancy Schoonover of Worcester; his former wife, Joanne (Kennedy) Collins of Rutland; and 5 grandchildren, with a 6th on the way.
He was born in Worcester the son of Thomas Edward and Ann Beatrice (Moquin) Collins. He was a former member and board member of the Genesis Club of Worcester. Thomas was the founder, former president and member of the Manic Depressive and Depressive Association of Worcester, located at UMass Memorial Medical University Campus on Lake Ave. Mr. Collins had a passion for music especially playing the drums.
Calling hours are Friday, April 4th from 10:00 until 11:30 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester with a service to follow. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Genesis Club, 274 Lincoln Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
