Obituary

M. Patricia (Mycue) (Schiavo) Mirabello died peacefully at Life Care Center of Stoneham in the company of her loving family. She was 81.

The daughter of the late Charles and Myrtle (Perkins) Mycue, Patricia was raised in Revere and lived in Somerville before settling in Medford. A Medford resident for most of her life, Pat was active throughout the community. She served as President of the Matignon High School Women’s Guild, the St. Joseph’s Mothers Club and the Grenadiers Marching Band Parent’s Organization. Patricia was appointed as a member of the Archdiocese Council of Education. She and her husband “Sonny” were active in Medford politics but spent much of their time serving the needs of Matignon High School. There, they dedicated their lives working selflessly raising scholarship money for those students most deserving a chance for a quality education.

The beloved wife of the late Joseph E. “Sonny” Mirabello and Anthony Schiavo, She was a devoted mother to Joan Stechenfinger and her husband Paul of Arizona, Patricia Sullivan and her husband Keith of Haverhill. She was a loving grandmother to Lee Smith, Paul Joseph Stechenfinger and her beloved Christopher Coates. She was a special grandmother to Richard and Sean Sullivan as well as a loving great-grandmother to Alyssa Smith and Asher Stechenfinger. She is also survived by her dear sisters-in-law Marguerite Zucco, Irma Cacicio as well as many nieces and nephews, especially Lisa Cacicio.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral service at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Monday, March 31st at 10 AM. Visiting hours Sunday 4 - 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Pat’s name to St. Judes Children's Hospital, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
