Obituary

SALEM - Henry W. Mazurkiewicz, of Salem, husband of the late Isabel W. (Dobrosielski) Mazurkiewicz, died Saturday morning, March 22, 2014 at his residence.

Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Francis and Alexandra (Rosowska) Mazurkiewicz.

Mr. Mazurkiewicz was an Army veteran of WWII and served with the 35th Airdrome Squadron, attaining the rank of Technical Sergeant 5th Class.

Henry began his employment career working for the C.B. Coates Bottling Company in Lynn, a family business owned by his father. He later worked for the Pepsi Bottling Co., Nissen Bread Co. and the Coca-Cola Bottling Co., for 30 years until his retirement. Following his retirement he was employed at Michaud Bus Lines.

A resident of Salem for most of his life, he was a communicant of the St. John the Baptist Church and was a member of the Polish Falcons, Nest #188, both of Salem.

Henry is survived by six children and their spouses, Robert and Jane Mazurkiewicz of Canton, GA, Barbara Creasy of Manalapan, FL, Frank Mazurkiewicz and his long time companion Donald Ropain of Indian Wells, CA, John Mazurkiewicz of Dorchester, Cathy and Kenneth St. Pierre of Beverly, Michael Mazurkiewicz of Salem, five grandchildren, Mark Mazurkiewicz, Stefanie Kelly, Joseph St. Pierre, David St. Pierre, Nicholas Mazurkiewicz, four great grandchildren, twins, Henry and Harper Mazurkiewicz, Tyler Kelly, Quinn Kelly and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Stella Palmer and Martha Hook and father-in-law of the late Capt. Curtis Creasy.

His funeral service will be held Friday, March 28, 2014 at 9 am from the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 am at the St. John the Baptist Church, Salem. Visiting hours are Thursday, 4 to 8 pm. Burial is in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
