Mr. Damon H. Parsons, of East Taunton, died Saturday, March 22 in Morton Hospital following a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary (Ieronimo) Parsons. He was born 90 years ago in Brockton, the son of the late Joseph and Hazel (Hoyt) Parsons. He was educated in East Bridgewater, where he lived for many years, and had been a Taunton resident for the past 20 years. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as an auto body mechanic for Midway Auto Body of Abington for over 30 years. Damon enjoyed helping friends and family.
He leaves: 4 sons: Joseph Parsons of Taunton, Daniel Parsons of Halifax, Michael Thibodeau and his wife, Cheryl of No.Attleboro, and John Parsons of Las Vegas, Nev.; 2 daughters: Jill Jones and her husband, Robert of Raynham, and Mary Jo Joyce of East Taunton; 2 sisters: Margaret Copeland of East Bridgewater, and Lorraine Welch of No. Carolina, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held at The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Thursday, March 27 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. A Funeral Service will follow at 8:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
