Kenneth C. Gagne, 86, a lifelong resident of Londonderry, NH, died Friday, October 29, 2004 in the VA Medical Center in Manchester, NH. Mr. Gagne was born in Londonderry on August 31, 1918, a son of the late George and Beatrice (Ashford) Gagne. He served in the US Army during WWII. He owned and operated Gagne Sawmill in Londonderry for many years. He raced horses for several years.
He is survived by one daughter, Shirley Christ of Londonderry, seven grandchildren, many great grandchildren, many great great grandchildren, one brother, Ernest Gaines of Derry, NH, three sisters, Gertrude Eaton of Hudson, NH, Gloria Murdock, Phyllis Dunn both of Manchester, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy (Willard) Gagne who died in 1995 and by one son David Floyd who died in 1985.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 3rd at 10:00am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. The burial will follow in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Londonderry. Friends may call on Tuesday from 6 - 8pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
