TAUNTON – Juliette Conceicao (Govaya) Mathieu, wife of the late Arthur Mathieu, Sr., died at the Marian Manor on March 19, 2014.
She was 95.
Born in Madeira Island, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Albina (Gomes) Govaya.
Mrs. Mathieu was raised and educated in Taunton.
A retired assembler, she was employed by Raytheon Inc. for many years.
A communicant of Annunciation of the Lord Church, she enjoyed reading, sewing and embroidery.
Survivors include three sons, Arthur Mathieu, Jr. of Miami Springs, FL, David Mathieu of Dighton and Allan Mathieu of Raynham; a daughter, Cynthia Bragga of Taunton; eight grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Monday, March 24th at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at the Marian Manor Chapel at 10:30 a.m.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, March 23rd from 3 to 6 p.m.
