Obituary

Reuben Walton Clements, III, 74, of Fitzgerald, died Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held, 2 PM, Saturday, March 22, 2014, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Friday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.

Mr. Clements was born April 12, 1939, in Atlanta to Katie Butler Eason and the late Reuben Walton Clements, Jr. He grew up in Adel and Tifton and graduated from Tift County High School. He received his Registered Pharmacist degree from The University of Georgia. Mr. Clements was owner and operator of the former Clements Pharmacy in Fitzgerald. He lived in Valdosta most of his life and was a pharmacist for UHC-Pruitt Nursing Homes for over 20 years. He enjoyed flying planes and working with computers as well as fishing, playing video games and gardening. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by a daughter: Samantha Urquhart-Foster of Atlanta; daughter: Laura & Kurt Baumeister of Blairsville; a son: Reuben W. “Walt” Clements, IV & Jennifer of Fitzgerald; daughter: Rachel & Mickey Casab of North Hollywood, California; five grandchildren: Kyra Urquhart-Foster, Katie Baumeister, Reid Baumeister, Reuben Clements V and Brianna Clark; his mother: Katie Butler Eason of Anderson, South Carolina; and a brother-in-law: Franklin “Dupree” Wilson of Anderson, South Carolina. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister: Sue Wilson.
