Obituary

DEDHAM – Jean F. (Tedeschi) McEachern, of Dedham, formerly of Milton, a retired service coordinator at Instron Corp. of Norwood died on March 17, 2014.


She is survived by her husband of 52 years, William D. McEachern and her devoted children Michael J. McEachern and his wife Karen A. of Canton and Robert W. McEachern and his wife Isabel B. of Hamden, CT also the mother of the late Joan R. McEachern. Jean, “Noni” leaves her grandchildren Nicole R. and Emily K. of Canton and Peter J., John R. and Catherine R. of Hamden, CT. She is survived by her sisters-in-law Theresa Tedeschi of Holbrook and Sally Sears of Milton, a brother-in-law Charles J. McEachern of Rockland and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Joseph P. Tedeschi, Jr.



She was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Hills, Milton for over 40 years and was involved in parish activities including the Cub Scouts as a den leader, the girl’s CYO softball team and the Ladies Guild before moving to Dedham a few years ago.



Jean was born and raised in Dorchester and graduated from Monsignor Ryan Memorial High School and was a lifelong Red Sox fan. She and her husband Bill enjoyed the theater and travelling the U.S., Canada, Great Britain and Europe. During her retirement years, she volunteered as a Meals on Wheels driver. She enjoyed cooking especially for family holiday gatherings and was a supportive follower of her grandchildren’s games, recitals, concerts and plays.


Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons, Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., DEDHAM, Friday at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Mary of the Hills Church, Milton at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Thurs. 4-8. Interment Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
