Agnes (Laronda) Ribeiro, 87, of Fairhaven died Wednesday October 27, 2004 at Our Lady's Haven. She was the wife of the late Carlos B. "Charlie" Ribeiro.
Born in Fairhaven, the daughter of the late Manuel S. and Ermelinda (Perry) Laronda, she had lived in Fairhaven for most of her life.
She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Fairhaven.
Mrs. Ribeiro was formerly employed as a stitcher at Bunny Manufacturing Company.
She was a member of St. Mary's Senior Citizens in Fairhaven. Mrs. Ribeiro enjoyed doing needlework and working in her garden.
Survivors include a son, Carl Ribeiro and his wife Leslye, of Marion; a grandson, Mark C. Ribeiro of Marion; a brother, John Laronda, Sr. and his wife Bernadette of East Freetown; a sister, Emily Langlois and her husband Norman of New Bedford; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Mary Lopes, Aldina Machado, Manuel Laronda, Olive Laronda, George Laronda, Irene Hurley, and Joseph Laronda.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd., Route 6, Mattapoisett, Saturday October 30, 2004 at 8:15 AM.Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, Fairhaven at 9:30 AM. Visiting hours will be on Friday October 29, 2004 from 5-8 PM. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Fairhaven.
