Laurette Vivian (Benoit) Banville, 92, of New Bedford died Monday March 17, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Leonel J. Banville and the late Elie J. Perras, Jr.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Marie A. (Poisson) and J. Arthur Benoit, she lived in San Diego for many years before returning to New Bedford in 2013.
Survivors include two sisters, Lucille Tetrault and Therese Santos, both of New Bedford; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Carol Ann Perras, Marie Perras, and Louise Perras, and sister of the late Girard Benoit. Lionel Benoit, Lucien Benoit, and Beatrice Lemaire.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11 AM in St. Anthony of Padua Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
