Meredith Jones Moore passed on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 to join her late father and grandparents in watching over her beloved family in Marshfield MA.
Mimi is survived by her husband Dan Moore and her children, Gretchen and Nathan; her brothers, Christopher Jones and his family and Jonathan Jones; her mother Julia Jones and Fred Osterholtz; her stepmother Donna Jones; Dan’s family, Hugh and Sharon Moore, and Scott and Jennifer Moore. Mimi was a “hero” to her nieces and nephews for sharing her unstinting love across the miles and for her strength and bravery in managing the adversities of her health in recent years.
Mimi graduated from Monroe Woodbury High School and the State University of New York – Brockport. Her professional career in Human Resources began in Manhattan prior to her move to Boston and her work in Fidelity International Human Resources. Mimi married her high school sweetheart, Daniel Moore. They welcomed their daughter, Gretchen, and their son, Nathan, soon after moving to Marshfield. Mimi was devoted to her family and always considered them her greatest blessing She was “the best Mom” and loving soul mate with Dan. They loved spending many hours together in family activities. Mimi treasured her friends and held them close to her over the miles and years. Summer “beach days” and evening backyard bonfires with family and friends, created fond Marshfield memories for Mimi.
Mimi knew that her beloved father, Clark Jones, and her grandparents, Stanley and Mary Shermeta and Sidney and Ann Jones, and her nephew, Ashley Price were waiting for her to join them. She went to them surrounded by her loved ones with thankfulness for her devoted husband and children and the wonderful life they had shared with her and peace in her heart to know who awaited her.
Mimi’s family would like to thank the many friends in the community of Marshfield and at work for all of their support plus all of the doctors and nurses at Dana Farber/Brigham & Womens Hospital as well as the team at Columbia Presbyterian for their committed care and friendship.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that people contribute in Mimi’s memory, together with your own name and address, (for acknowledgement) to Relay for Life of Marshfield/Pembroke, Five Manley Street, West Bridgewater, Mass 02379, or contribute online at www.relayforlife.org/marshfieldma or to a charity of your choice.
