Steve Solomon, 45, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Wednesday, October 27, 2004 at Dorminy Medical Center, Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 4:30 PM, Friday, October 29, 2004, at the Ocilla Church Of God, with Rev. Clayton Dowd officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7:00 until 9:00 Thursday evening at Paulk Funeral Home, Fitzgerald.
Mr. Solomon was born January 30, 1959, in Albany, Georgia and lived in Fitzgerald most of his life. He was a 1977 graduate of Fitzgerald High School, attended ABAC and received his Television and Radio Repairman Certification from Ben Hill-Irwin Tech. Mr. Solomon served as Interim Pastor at several churches in Vidalia, Ailey, Glenwood, Montgomery County and at Anderson Memorial Baptist Church in Ben Hill County. He was a member of the Ocilla Church Of God.
Mr. Solomon is survived by his wife: Patsy R. Solomon, Fitzgerald; one daughter and son-in-law: Kayla and Derek Carruthers, Fitzgerald; two sons: Lee Rineair and Stephen T. Solomon, Jr., both of Fitzgerald; father and mother: Aldeen and Mildred Nicholson Solomon, Fitzgerald; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Gary D. and Merla Solomon, Fitzgerald, Tony and Tracie Solomon, Alma; Aubrey and Terri Nicholson, Gainesville, GA; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Sandra and Wade Ball, Owensboro, Debbie and Tommy Tucker, Sally and Jason Troupe, all of Fitzgerald; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Solomon was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Merritt Solomon and a brother, Lamar Solomon.
