Obituary

Eloise E. (McDonald) Blake, 99, of Anderson died at her residence on March 14, 2014 following a extended illness.

She was born on November 21, 1914 in Anderson to George M. and Elsie (Truitt) McDonald.

She was owner and operator of Public Taxi Company for 30 years. She also worked with her husband, Dr. Robert Blake in his veterinarian business.

She was a 50 year member of Order of Eastern Star #154, a charter member of Redbud Quilting Club, and a past member of Anderson Country Club. She loved her flower gardens, her animals, and her family.

Survivors include her 3 children, Mary M. (David) Plough of Anderson, Sharon (Jerry) Lovenworth and Robert (Deborah) Blake all of Sarasota, FL; 8 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren whom she loved dearly; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dr. Robert Blake; a sister, Bee Davis

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Gary McManus officiating. The burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

The visitation will be from 4:00pm - 7:00pm on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, 2014 at the funeral home with a Order of Eastern Star #154 service at 6:30pm and 1 hr. prior to the service on Wednesday.

Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service handled the arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Christian Center.
