WORCESTER-Mary M. (Ford) Beahn formerly of Hadwen Road, most recently living with her daughters in Paxton and Holden since 1999 died Wednesday, October 27th after an illness. Her husband of 45 years, John E. Beahn died in September, 1993. She leaves a son, John J. Beahn of Worcester, two daughters, Rosemary E. Buckley of Paxton and Janet M. Josti of Holden, two sisters, Agnes L. Hannon and Helen A. Ford both of Worcester, eight grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a daughter, Suzanne M. Beahn on September 28th, 2004, two brothers, Brother Cyprian “Francis” Ford, CFX, Xavarian Brothers and John M. Ford, and a sister, Alice E. Kenary.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of John M. and Jennie B. (Laverty) Ford and graduated from South High School and Becker College. Mrs. Beahn was a school secretary at the former Chandler Jr. High School, Clark Street School and Mill Swan School-Special Needs Department. She was a volunteer for the Bishop’s Fund and also at the former Notre Dame Convent on Plantation Street.
The funeral is Friday, October 29th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 11:30 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, October 28th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
