Shirley M. (Welch) Holman 69 years of Kissimmee, Florida formerly of East Bridgewater died October 22, 2004 in Florida after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Robert F. Holman for 50 years.
Mrs. Holman was born in Brockton daughter of the late William J. and Elizabeth (Bortkevich) Welch. For the past nine years she has been a resident of Kissimmee, Florida having lived previously in East Bridgewater.
She retired from the Massachusetts Department of Corrections where she worked as the fiscal officer. While living in Florida she office manager of Help Now of Osceola, Inc. She was also a sign language interpreter.
She enjoyed gardening especially tending her roses and time spent with her grandchildrenShe is survived by 3 sons and a daughter Dennis and his wife Paula of Brandon, VT; David and his wife Terry of Kissimmee, FL; Steven and his wife Jeanne of Middleboro and Suzanne Rose and her husband Russell of Kissimmee, FL. Six grandchildren Eric, Erin, Brian, Jamie, Tiffany and Russell and several nieces and nephewsShe was the sister of the late Lillian Florio.
A Graveside Service will be held in Melrose Cemetery Saturday at 11 am. Rev. Gordon Postill of Old Colony Hospice will officiate.
