Obituary

Edward “Eddie” Joseph Beaudry, age 81, of Carver, formerly of Quincy and South Boston, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 6, 2014.

He was the beloved husband of the late Anna Marie (DiFazio) to whom he was married for 58 years; devoted father of Ruth A. (Dr. Gary Running Bear) Martin and Janice M. (James) Stephen; and grandfather to Nicholas J. Stephen and Joshua Martin and his wife Heather.

Eddie was the son of the late Anthony and Doris (Nickerson) Beaudry and brother of Doris Maloney, Paul Beaudry and the late Ronald, Carole Ann Young and Eugene Cox. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.

Eddie was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the United States Coast Guard. He was a proud member of the American Legion (Post 40), Teamsters (Local 251), Red Sox Nation, and the United Parish of Carver.

“Steady Eddie’s” family and friends will remember him as a happy and caring man, always smiling, and willing to lend a hand. He was a treasured and founding member of the “Here Comes Trouble Gang” which included his dear friends, Bob Meenan and the late Charlie Pagnini. The family would especially like to thank Frank and Mary Ellen Casey, Bob and Charlie for being such good friends of Dad and supportive to him and to his family. We would also like to thank Marie Buckman for her friendship to Dad in the last few years, and his nurse, Nancy Mathewson and the staff at Gentiva.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at 1:00 at the United Parish of Carver, 115 Main Street, Carver.

Interment will be at a later date.
