Tommy Tam Phan, age 53, of Brockton, died unexpectedly March 9, 2014, at Good Samaritan Medical Center. He was the husband of Nhung (Ho) Phan. Born and raised in Hue, Vietnam, Tommy moved to the United States in 1982. He resided in Whitman and moved to Brockton where he graduated from Brockton High School. He was a certified Automotive Mechanic who had been employed at Boch Honda and at the time of his death was employed at Bernardi Honda of Brockton. Tommy was a hard working, dedicated family man, always friendly and helpful to others and had been a member of the Temple Mountain Buddhist Meditation Center.
In addition to his wife Nhung, he is survived by two daughters Jennifer and Ashley; nine brothers Vanh, Manh, Ty, Dang, Hung, Xi, Dung, Dieu, and Son Phan and several nieces and nephews. He was the twin brother of the late Tan Phan.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday 4-8pm. A service in the funeral home will be held Saturday at 9am. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made in Tommy’s name to the charity of one’s choice.
