WORCESTER: Thomas G. Berryman, 76, of Hyatt Street died Saturday, March 8 in his home surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness.
His beloved wife Virginia (Neddo) Berryman died in 2001. He leaves a son Gerald A. Berryman of West Boylston, three daughters Debra J. Bundtzen and her husband Michael of Sutton, Nancy M. Bowen and Lori J. Berryman both of Worcester, 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, two brothers Henry Berryman of Auburn and Gordon Berryman of Leicester, two sisters Barbara Baumgartner of Florida and Beverly Haynes of Leicester and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a son Robert R. Berryman and two brothers Robert & Stephen Berryman.
Mr. Berryman was born in Worcester, son of Robert G. and Clara J. (Carpenter) Berryman. He graduated from Leicester High School. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a Manager at Stop & Shop Corp. for 40 years before he retired. He was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan and enjoyed fishing.
A Graveside service at Hope Cemetery in Worcester will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Central MA Chapter for Homeless Veterans, 69 Grove St., Worcester, MA 01605. MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester is directing arrangements.
