Ruth L. Peloquin, 98, of Eliot, ME passed away on Saturday March 8, 2014. She was born in Berlin, NH on July 10, 1915, the daughter of Herman “Finn” and Betty (Strom) Finnson and lived in Berlin until 1975. She was the widow of Rudolph Peloquin who died on March 8, 1968. She graduated from Berlin High School in 1934 and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Ruth was a lifelong Red Sox fan. In her early years, she was an avid skier and later became adept at hunting and fishing, traveling to Northern Canada on fishing trips with her husband. Under her watchful eye, many seeds grew to become healthy plants. She loved her family, and had many happy memories, and she fondly recalled her granddaughters recent visit from California.
She is survived by her two daughters, Martha Brown and husband Richard of Kittery, ME and Louise Rosen of CA; two granddaughters Rabbi Lisa Bock and husband Ken of Westlake, CA and Kimberly Peicker and husband Mark of Bedford, NH and great-grandchildren Janna and Kevin Bock of CA and Mark, Matthew and Andrew Peicker of Bedford, NH.
At her request, there will be no calling hours and services will be private. Arrangements are by the Bryant Funeral Home, Berlin, NH.
